Got a quick brake line question
Ok so my builder is a 69 swb but my parts truck is a 72 lwb. I'm taking the factory 5 lug powers discbrake setup off 72 And putting on the 69. Here's the dilemma ... I need new brake lines ordered so do I order for a 69 swb because that's what the frame is or for 72 swb because that's what the booster/setup originally was on??? Thank you guys in advance

The ones for the '72 SWB should be what you need, along with the disk brake master and proportioning valve. The front lines for the '69 would be the wrong size. If I have forgotten anything someone will chime in and help me out... LockDoc

Re: Got a quick brake line question
Did you swap in the 72 crossmember also?
71-72 trucks have the steel brake line connect to the rubber brake hose on the FRONT side of the crossmember. The 67-70 connect on the rear side of the crossmember. This will make you choose the correct pre-bent line set.

Re: Got a quick brake line question
It's a 72 master and pro portioning valve but on a 69 cab/ frame. Since it has the 69 crossmember should I keep it and order 69 lines or swap crossmember to the 72 crossmember and add 72 lines?

Re: Got a quick brake line question
I would order '69 lines to fit the frame and then bend up the lines from the frame to the M/C myself.

Re: Got a quick brake line question
