Seat Mounting
what have you guys done to mount different seats in your truck? I have some late model bench seats for the back of my suburban, and there are large gaps that I need to bridge to get these seats to the floor.
I thought about building some steel risers out of square steel tubing. Just wondering what some others have done.

1995 Pontiac Bonneville seats.
I added late model buckets. I ended up only using the left and right side front outer holes as a known so to speak. I then put a piece of metal approximately a eigth of an inch thick under the bolt holes to keep the seat from pulling the bolts out of it. I am paranoid, and thought that I needed additional strength. Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they are not after me. My two cents, Kerry

For the rear mounts in my truck I needed a psacer also. Mine needed to make up 1" difference. I happen to use a 1/2 to 3/4 black pipe fitting. Was perfect height. You can look at my website on the 70 and the interrior and it'll show you what I did. Might give you an idea.

i used seats out of a 03 cavalier, they sit flat on the floor. i reworked the mounting brackets so that they sit flat but all the spacers and what not are unseen under the seat. let me clarify, instead of spacers between the bracket and floor i made spacers between the seat and the bracket.
