Question Undecided "I so confused"

To make a short story even shorter, I just bought a new set of tires for my shop truck and had the white letters reversed facing inside, well it's been two days and I don't think that I like it. Okay I want some opinions, White letters in or out....... or other? Thanks

Re: Undecided "I so confused"

99 percent of the time I am a total white letters in guy. BUT (lol) I think that truck looks better with them out. I love the mags on that thing...cool stuff!

EDIT: Just noticed the white wall look, I dont care for that one at all, if you were looking for an opinion on that look =)

I like the letters out. Those whitewalls would look great with some babymoon hubcaps.

You're not alone. I've been a 'white letters out' guy for years, but now I prefer my tires black.

To me for the white walls to work at all the truck will need to be a lot lower.

Re: Undecided "I so confused"

I say get the best of both worlds. Run them in on one side and out on the other....

Seriously, I don't nprmally care for white letters out. Since you are running a retro size and style of rim, I think they fit the theme.

I usually like the white letters out, but from some reason, your truck looks badass with the BLACKWALL OUT w/ SLOTS!!!

Re: Undecided "I so confused"

White walls, the rims painted the color of your lettering with a gold stripe and baby moons or some other center cap. like

I looked at the pic before I saw your link... my first thought was No, that's the wrong era, but would look good for 1940s vehicles.

Re: Undecided "I so confused"

I'm a lettering in kinda guy simply because before i wear em out i inevitably get a curb rash on one of the tires. Then they look terrible. Your truck looks great either way. The white walls just don't work at all in my opinion. john

Re: Undecided "I so confused"

White letters were popular in the 70s. If your build concept is a period-correct rod, then definitely run them facing out. If not, then face them in. Also, if you do run them facing in, cover the letters with black tire paint. IMO, it does not look good when you can see the letters facing in if you look under the truck from a distance

Re: Undecided "I so confused"

Blackwall out looks more beefcake to me. ... for bling I would add the chalk stripe to back tires, that is on drag car rear tires, .. it looks cool when they roll up to the line.... I am actually being serious.
