Smile Overlooked Tilt Column Source ??!!!

We all know about using van tilts in our trucks, BUT the other day I came across something kinda interesting!! While "surfing" a salvage yard , I came upon a GM chassis motorhome with a TILT column. I bought it and after getting it out, ( pain in the a$$) , the lower shaft length looks the SAME as a factory tilt I have for my 72!! Will probably need to change the firewall seal plate and wiring harness plug , but otherwise looks the same!! Anyone had any experience with these ?
MAYBE a new "untapped"source???

The correct 69-72 truck tilt was used until 1991 in the motor homes. Here's another place to look, 73-81 C30 short bus/van. It has a van nose but they usually have a bus type body.
