If Blue passes I'll pull the trigger on those, perfect or not.

Re: NOS Custom 10 emblems #3953662

Blue/72, there might be some very light pitting and a little paint missing (they never were perfect from the factory). It sounds like you want perfect, so I'll just sell them to 71Shorteed402. Okay?

Can you post a few pictures of the missing paint spots?

Just my opinion, but seems like a raw deal for Blue/72.

Re: NOS Custom 10 emblems #3953662

I appreciate the gesture Blue. Truth is, I have a couple options as is, but thought these were a good deal from start, and of course another option.

In fairness to the DA68, I thought his OP provided an solid description. He said they were "perfect" NOS, and as he eluded, especially in the case of Custom/10, these weren't without flaws from factory. The "Custom" chrome is pretty thin. I'd venture a guess the only flawless option are repro.

Similar happened to me fairly recently, on a temp. control unit. I was interested, but had some questions, while someone else was ready no questions asked. I understood the sellers point of view, and he even deleted the thread (maybe in practice). I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again, and have.

In hindsight, I suppose this may give cause to "first I'll take it" you see on occasion, but that's the seller's business.

Per board rules, the first "I'll take them" gets the item. Not the first "I'm interested" followed by a bunch of questions. It's really a simple concept and I went by the rules. End of story.

Re: NOS Custom 10 emblems #3953662

I realize that and have had my own issues with that lately. 71chevyshortbed402 said he would take them, if I passed which I did not. Then you proceeded to sell them to him, that's what irritated me. Just was trying to get a few pictures, no hard feelings.

Really. Did you read the rules? I don't think you ever read them. Show me where it says that. I think it's up to you to state that. It's a simple concept... if a buyer says, "I'll take them if so and so passes", then it means you take the common courtesy to check with the first person. End of story.

This was a closed issue derotoreut, so I'm not sure why you feel the need to keep it going. Blue/72 and I have put it behind us and I suggest you do the same. Here's a little hint; I've found you get more done in the garage with a little less time at the computer........

I agree, board rules were clearly not followed. I am upset that I was passed in line for these, that's not how it works. I realize I passed in the end but that is because I know he has looked for them for a while and I don't want to do business with somebody who does business like that.
