69 stepper finished (99%)

after 2.5 yrs jethro is finally on the road and legal again
this was never going to be a show truck or full restoration-just a quick weekend replacement of the wooden boards on the deck which then became a full bare chassis stripdown - always with the goal of having a pickup i could use as a daily driver, park anywhere and throw anything onto it without worrying about paint etc.
it currently has a little 305/sw465/12bolt posi in it and this will eventually be replaced by a 292 i6 being put together slowly.
things left to finish are :
glovebox won't close because recovered dashpad has too much padding underneath
diff gears are still 4.11 and will be changed to 3.78
hubcaps are being panelbeated by a mate and need repainting and fitting.
69 complete grille being tidied up by same panelbeater mate and will be fitted.
pretty damn happy to be driving again tho!!!
theres a build thread if anyones interested in some of my modifications!

Re: 69 stepper finished (99%)

thank you.
its great driving it to work now and theres a few issues with a miss at low speed(the carb probably needs a clean and i def need a fuel filter) and some funny noises coming from the front but i'll plug away at those problems and put some miles on it.
next major is to get the 292 up and running before going ahead with the swap back in.

Re: 69 stepper finished (99%)

Looks great! A real shame some one stole your side marker lights though

Glad to hear you're going with a 292. Looking for one to replace my 250.

Hey Mark. Your truck has cleaned up real nice. One you can do about anything with. I really like your stable of rides too.
