Re: Pics of what puts up your power!!!!!

My body shop is going to paint my motor to match my exterior paint. All I currently have to post up pics of is a ton of new parts.... The 496 going into my swb is down at my dads shop awaiting a tear down and inspection. The new 496 I'm starting on is still in boxes from summit. Your truck looks good bud! I'm planning on some sort of silver metallic for my paint. Just throwing out the idea of painting your block to match your exterior! Keep us updated on the progress!

Re: Pics of what puts up your power!!!!!

BB backed up with a TH400 in my K20. Mostly just bragging rights like most of the guys on here say but its had some internal work done. Its been in the truck since the mid 80's and runs like a scalded eagle. Still gotta figure what all has been done internally at some point. I do know its got one hell of a cam in it. Don't mind how ugly the thing is, its a work truck and I haven't gotten to the clean-up phase of ownership yet.

glad to see im not the only 17 year old knucklehead restoring a truck!!! haha. well this is my 350/350 chevy backed by a 700r4 with 2000 stall converter. its fully rebuilt, got a mild cam, 10:1comp, .040 over, holley 650 (soon to be a demon), hedman headers, roller rockers. that's about it. machine shop said it will put down about 350-375hp.

I bought the breather from a board member here on the parts board, from a 70's vette I think and Year One has the decals.
Your truck is looking good BTW

It does make noise. Here is a video: http://s851.photobucket.com/user/BWF...out-1.mp4.html There are a couple of really nice engines here that should keep up with it. I don't think I want to run that 496! As for yours, that little 355 should run just fine. Very nicely done!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
