Ochre? Keep or re-paint????

Picture says it all. I just dropped this off at the paint shop and am about to dump $1500 into the bad boy, and the owner of the shop goes...

"That's got to be the ugliest color they've ever made", "no wonder you're here to change the color".

Well, when I said I was planning on keeping it original he almost died laughing. So the question is- Should I keep it Ochre or take advantage of the opportunity to change it out. The interior is Saddle, and I have no intention of messing with it, as that part of it is very nice.

Thanks in advance!

Ochre, all the way. I've had my ochre truck for 7 years, and it is my favorite color on these trucks....when its in a nice, new coat of Ochre paint, it will look great!

I kind of like it too. The best part is you don't see it on any other truck. Actually, I don't know if it was ever put on any other Chevy??

I'd keep it. How many other vehicles are driving around with that color?

Looks great! Glad you decided to keep the color. Now you just have to add that stroker motor and give it a new name:

STROCHRE! (stro-kra)

I think you have answered your on question. If you were planning on keeping it Ochre then why would you let a paint guy change your mind. I to like the Ochre color. I use to hate Olive Green but that's what my 70cst is and when it goes to the body shop I am going to keep it medium Olive Green on the top and dark Olive Green on the bottom just the way it left the factory. Like they say...the colors grow on you. My vote is Ochre!!
