68 C10 shortbox 700r4 conversion
I'm getting ready to install a 700r4 in my 68 shortbox and was wondering if anybody has any good tips out there. Doesn't look like a bad conversion but any tips would help greatly. Thanks

Re: 68 C10 shortbox 700r4 conversion
what type of trans do you have already? th350? th400? 3-speed? 4-speed? if you have a manual, you may want to get the type of shifter that goes through the floor. otherwise, you will need to get an automatic column. also, which engine? some of this may be helpful

Re: 68 C10 shortbox 700r4 conversion
Im using a 72 chassis with the disc brakes. It had a th350 with a 292. I'm putting an early corvette 350 in it. So I have the stock cross member and automatic column. I read somewhere awhile ago (but can't remember where) that everything would bolt up on the forward setting motor mounts and that a late 80's short frame drive shaft would bolt right in but dont know yet forsure??
