Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!

My truck is not even close to done. I went and bought a new bike (pictured below) so that set me back. I will get there though. I can ride down on the motorcycle if you have one. So I guess I am in. It is a full carbon fiber bike also..

Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!

I would`nt mind getting together with a bunch of members but I just picked up my truck and haven`t even touched it. Plus my only available day is sundays and I try to spend it with my family. I guess I could bring them, my 3yr old little girl loves to look at old trucks with daddy.

Coyote park in San Mateo might be a good spot. I might even have my truck going by then..

Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!

I think just about every town has a suitable place for a meet with BBQ. Crap, even concord has a few. How about a destination place...The beach...the presidio (sp)... etc...
It will make the missus a little happier to be drug along...and it will then kill two birds with one stone. truck meet and romantic day out with the boss.

Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!

well to make it fair for everyone we should find a spot in the center. decide on whne it`s going to happen and then saymaybe a month before the meeting date fine the furthest north, south, east and west and then find a spot in the middle. May not work that smooth but it`s a start. We are from Carmichael which is in the Sacramento area. We are about a hour and a half from the bay area so for me,anything past say oakland or SF would be too far to drag the family. I made it to Walnut Creek in about a hour and 15 minutes though but I was in a hurry to go look at my truck so I was going a little fast, faster than I would drive with my daughter with me.

Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!

I know there are some people or person from Salinas...not sure if they would be interested.

Is this something we could make an annual thing ?? Not a 'car-club' thing (not into that) just something we could do annually, just to put put a face on the screen name.

OK...how much time do you guys need to get the Chevys go'n ??

How about mid-JUNE ??

Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!

you know, I was thinking about the presidio thing. There at the parade grounds, where the cannons are. Big huge P-lot, big grassy area, great view of the bay. Don't need reservations I don't think.
But again, its in SF. Not sure how far that is away for every one.
As for timing. Whats wrong with april. Do we have to wait all that time to get inspiration from others. The sooner we do this, the sooner some of us will get into gear to get wrenching after the ideas have been passed around.

No matter where we have it, (the famous we, as if i had anything to do with its inception) I would hope its sooner than later, or rather sooner and later.
