opinions anyone?

I am in the process of working on my 70 burb, and was thinking of doing side pipes for exaust. I am lowering it and was wondering if any one had seen anything like this before, or what you think about it I like to be different.

I don't remember seeing one like that myself but I think it'd be cool as hell.

My dad had side pipes on his 67. I'll try and find a picture to scan this weekend when I go by his house. This was about 20 years ago. The side pipes after awhile gave way to a JCwhitney exhaust.

go for it but check local laws some states require the exaust to come out behind the rear tires

Exhaust

My Flowmasters sit right under the driver and passenger's butts. I have turndowns that go no further than the back-side of the cab. When I crank it, dust comes out from underneath the truck. Try to let those import guys get a piece of that!

I'm running dual side pipes on my 72 3/4ton, they look sharp. I love the look and the sound turns everybodies heads. The cops in my area stop me when they can and try to tell me they are illegal to have and the exhaust has to go past my rear axle. The cops that I've delt with are wrong, I know the exhaust laws in Connecticut extremely, extremely well. I went to the CT DMV inspection station and the only they told me was that the side pipes wern't DOT approved and I would have to put real mufflers before the side pipes, so I put a pair of series 40 flowmasters.

If you're gonna do sidepipes go all the way and put flamethrowers in them.

Gotta agree, IMO they would look Bad. Good on Vans and Vettes, not on trucks.
