Paint inner grill

Hi, I have done a search on this but can't find what I am looking for. Has anyone had success painting the inner grill on a 71/72? The one on my truck is currently broken. I have another from a donor truck but it is faded and yellowed. Is there a paint that will match and will adhere to the plastic?

Thanks for the help.

Re: Paint inner grill

I painted mine black with Krylon paint. I powerwashed it, degreased it, and scrubbed it really good. I'm sure they have a gray or silver that's close to match....So far its held up good.

Re: Paint inner grill

Mine was faded and broken in areas - I power washed it and used bondo to fix the breaks and then rattle canned it black - looks great.

Mine is a 69, but a plastic grille is a plastic grille, and I had great results restoring mine with Rustoleum spray paint, designed for plastic. Bought it at Auto zone
