Sway Bars Rock!!!!!
Finally put the sway bar on the truck today!!! It took about 1 hour and was really easy(except for the rivet that wouldn't come out) Thank You Hardrock2 for the bar!! I used Moog Poly Bushings. I can honestly say this made my truck handle a million times better. I would recommend this be at the top of everyones lists of mods if thier truck didn't come with one. FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!!

Does anyone know if our trucks had a rear swaybar available as a factory option?

It is my understanding that rear sway bars were never an option offered by GM or their dealers. There are several aftermarket variations out there as well as some car rear sway's that have been converted for use on the trucks. Fronts were offered on 2x4, 4x4, 1/2 and 3/4 ton and up trucks.

Swaybars on a 4x4 defeats suspension travel, so I'll pass. Besides, anybody who'd take my truck on a curve fast enough for it to make a difference doesn't understand the situation

I put a front sway bar on my 4x4, it use to really plow in the turn, I like it, but it never leaves the pavement, GM did make a rear sway bar for theses trucks, but it is rare, someone on the boards has factory pics of it, this topic came up a few times, thats how I know

I think a rear sway bar off a camaro is my next investment. I really can't believe the difference is sooo dramatic!
