71 K10 Front Hub Mystery

I kept bending grease seals on the front hub of my 71 K10 (disc brakes) while replacing my wheel bearings. After taking apart the passenger side I realized the hub on the driver's side was not the same. The seat for the grease seal on the driver's side is beveled, where the seat for the grease seal on the passenger side has a flat sidewall and flat lip the grease seal sits on. Needless to say I don't know what the driver's side hub is off of. Are there any years that are a direct fit replacement, or will I have to buy a new replacement?

Might help if we knew what front axle you have, and pics of each side...

It would be a Dana 44 if original. Is it a 10-bolt 04 Dana 44? Many parts will interchange between them

I do believe it is the original front axle, but not 100% sure.

Anyone know the part number for replacement hub with disc brake, and where I can find one?

Re: 71 K10 Front Hub Mystery

All the 1/2 ton seals are the same all the way up into the 10 bolts from 1960 something up to 1991. The 3/4 ton is the same on the 10 bolts from 77-91, CR 24898. If you are folding the seal up then there is probably something wrong with with the hub or the spindle
