i have a 1985 chevy truck and this wire comes up from the transmission and cant find where it plugs into. we think it is the neutral safety switch. does some1 recognize it? or know where it plugs into?

I know that some of the TH350C transmissions have an extra 2 wire plug on the passenger side of the trans......

what trans are you running?

its the 350 turbo transmission as far as we know. there is a switch on both sides. passenger and driver side. they come up from the transmission and tie in and make up this pigtail.

Re: could some1 tell me where this plugs into?

is the driver side a 4 wire plug?
you don't need to hook it up if it is a TH350C. all it does is lock the torque converter.
I did a ton of research on these when I had my '80 shortbed. you can leave it unpluugged and it will work just like a regular th350. The converter locking will drop your highway RPM @ 300 RPM, so not a big gain.
If you are wanting to hook it up, you should have a vacuum switch mounted to the firewall somewhere above the brake booster

i dont think its the neutral saftey switch i think that swich is contained in your colum and on stops power to your starter, not from the trany itself. if im wrong someone correct me
