headlight switch problems

Well i got a new instrument bezel for my 69 c-10. I wasnt sure how to get the headlight knob off so I just yanked on it and it finally popped off. I put on everthing stuck the knob back in and when I went to test the lights the only ones that came on were the parking lights. the knob also comes out easy now. Did i break my headlight switch?
thanks, ryan:

Re: headlight switch problems

YES! They are pretty cheap though. Your local parts store should have one for about $15.00. If you look at the old headlight switch you will see a little button that you push and it will release the knob and rod.
