Keep the stock wheel... the heat and sun here in AZ will destroy the cushion quickly.

Re: which steering wheel do you like the best?

i think the factory wheel looks awesome. however, my dad put a late 70's/80's style plain black chevy wheel in his 72 burb and my 72 burb came with one, so i won't mess with it. i like the mix of vintages and it is a far more economical mod than a fancy aftermarket wheel. it is a modification without looking like one.

Re: which steering wheel do you like the best?

For aftermarket, I have found that the LeCarra line of steering wheels is the easiest to deal with. I also found that Yogi's is a good priced source for them. http://www.yogisinc.com/

Amazing. Did you die the grip yourself, or did you purchase it like that? I plan to paint my truck lemans blue, with a white top and have blue interior and that is the exact wheel I want.

I made sure that I found a decent medium blue Steering Wheel, and then I re dyed it. It's going in my truck during it's second restoration. Trevor

Re: which steering wheel do you like the best?

I've built alot of truck in the last 15 yrs and if I didnt have a stock wheel to use, I would use the ole mid 70's camaro wheels or the later 80's calviler gt wheels. It's all depends on the type of build yr doing!

Re: which steering wheel do you like the best?

Now that you`ve decided...BOTH! Change it with your mood. They are like wheels and tires. You can run 100% factory wheels, hubcaps, whitewalls, and steering wheel and in an hour turn it into a rest-rod by slapping on rallyes w/wide blackwalls and a sport wheel.

Here is a 73-up I put in my truck after I took my grant off and sold it to another member in here.

Black is also the most expensive to buy used. The colored ones don't bring as much as people normally don't have colored interiors. Trevor

Re: which steering wheel do you like the best?

I have a original black steering wheel in my truck currently, I just prefer the classic look of the brushed aluminum especially in a Cheyenne or Super. It ties all the aluminum trim together. Trevor
