700r4 shifting problem

the truck will shift fine then 4th goes then 3 then 2 then 1 cut the truck off and crank it right back up it works fine then slowly it does it again. Has plenty of fluid and all the wiring looks good any Ideas?

Are you sure the TV cable is correct, If they are misadjusted, it will burn up the trans.

Are you sayin it downshifts all the way down to 1st when your driving it?

yea as 4th slows I shift to 3rd locks backs up then starts same all the way to 1st turn it off start right back up it fine for a mile then starts again

I think he's saying he'll go into 4th slow down and downshift normally all the way to 1st but it sounds like his torque converter is staying locked up and stalls the engine (if he has a lockup torque converter) when he stops.

change the filter. sounds like its trying to stop up . pressure from the pump will suck trash into it and block pressure so start losing pulling power. when you stop and turn oof motor trans pump no longer builds pressure so some trash will fall off and you get full pressure until filter stops up again
