Re: Post Your 4-Link or 3-Link Setups!!
Thanks guys.
My question for those with the 3-link and trailing arms: Did you install trailing arms just for the bags (mounts)? If not why would you run both? |

Re: Post Your 4-Link or 3-Link Setups!!
planet, I'm not sure I understand your question, but I'll take a shot at it.
The susp. systems that are posted all require lower bars to keep the axle from twisting because all the mounts at the axle 3 or 4 link/ upper or lower, pivot. This keeps the pinion angle pretty consistent thru the suspension cycle, unlike the factory trailing arms wich are fixed to the axle. The only real diff. between 4 & 3 links is the upper wishbone allows you to eliminate the track bar & still keep the axle centered side to side. The bags are mounted on the lower arms mainly for convenience.Hope this helps , Mac |

Re: Post Your 4-Link or 3-Link Setups!!
Most people mount the bags on the lower bars for the canti-lever effect, meaning more lift out of the bag.

Re: Post Your 4-Link or 3-Link Setups!!
Is there any reason to keep the leaf-spring setup if running bags?

Re: Post Your 4-Link or 3-Link Setups!!
Sure there is. If your not planning on going really low and you don't want to cut the bed, a "Air over Leaf" system will do the job just fine.
