HELP! out line to carb from fuel pump leaking! - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

OK, older fuel pump, older hard line (older as in from my old engine but parts were no more than 1 1/2 years old..

No leaks on old motor

Take it off and re install on my new motor and it leaks..so

I get new line and fuel pump, bend it up (3/8 with parts store double flare) put it on with a TID BIT of thread sealer (blue) and tighten it up and it STILL leaks

So what gives lol this is a pita little bug..

edit, its leaking at the screw in fiting

shouldn't need any kind aof sealant on teh trends try to loosen and tighten a few time to seat the flare

Well, I was at desperate measures, i'll wire wheel it all off, so tighten,loosen, tighten loosen etc and then tighten it down? I'll try it thanks...
