WTB: a driveshaft for '72 swb in Dallas, TX

Does anyone know how I could go about getting my hands on a driveshaft for swb '72. I wanted to do some calling around before I go to the yards.

Drive shaft

I have about 3 at home. Let me know the length you need. I have shafts for short tail and long tail trans. Send me the measurements and I'll check it out tonight.

bisquik65,
Are you using a caprice drive shaft in a '72 shortbed? Are there any issues with installation or performance?

Can someone who has a '72 swb with a 350 and turbo transmission give me a measurement of the drive shaft? I cannot get a true measurement because I have not installed my enginge/tranny yet. Thanks.

Pic of drive shaft location

Here is a pic of under my truck. Does this show that I need a one piece, or do all these trucks look the same under.

Your frame has the carrier bearing bracket rivited to the center crossmember, you can use eather one,2 piece or single,it will depend on where your motor stands are sitting on the frame, will make a difference on what shaft you need...Erick

Thanks for the info. I guess I just need to wait until I get the engine/tranny installed.
