Best starter
What's the best starter for our vehicles? Looking to upgrade mine soon and want 1 that is reliable and gonna crank my truck on the first bump of the key ... Thanks

I like the factory GM starters off of 98 Tahoe application with 350 engine. You get good GM quality and they're good gear reduction units and way, way smaller than stock ones. I buy from Rockauto.
   The best part is you can buy one 7 days a week at any auto parts store.

Had issues with my original small block starter, so I threw on a factory big block starter. Cranks over much faster now.

My 72 350 has a factory starter. It kicks on the first twist of the key. I don't see how any starter could improve on 100% efficient. Never any issues. I also have a good, strong battery with high CCA and good cables and clean connections.
