no pics, but do you mean like the table leg complete with protruding nails that was stashed under the hood of my truck when I bought it? or how the p/o put in the aftermarket AM/FM/8 track deck that hit the stock speaker, so he took the speaker out of the dash and screwed it into the corner of the cab on the pass. side, and the screws went all the way thru the rear wall of the cab?

or how about the maple helicopters that would blast out of the defrost vents every time I'd turn the heater on?

I found the stock to a rifle glued to the roof of my 71' burb with the headliner screwed to it!

BTW, crew70, I love those crewcabs... You should post up some shots of how they extended the chassis, ect... I have always been curious about that...

This is one of those fuggly options,I remedied it first thing.Drove it sitting on a milkcrate for the first time
Notice the custom seats, and steering wheel. All the vents are missing, and there is an enormous hole where the radio was. Also a custom fabricated shifter handle.

I'll play.

This is my 72 GMC, factory made to plow. Options ordered were HD front and rear springs, HD alternator, Roof lights, 350/4-speed, PDB, but no PS (Yankee frugality ). The Fisher plow was installed when new. This plow was and is the professional's choice. It has spent it's life going forward and backward in 4 lo, hence only 40K miles, albiet hard miles. I would not trade this truck for anybody's. It's ugly, it's fugly, it's beat, but it still performs the duty it was intended for 33 years ago. That's one option, you just can't get in the aftermarket. My plans are to toss the small block and put in a 292, because I can. I also have the rare and highly prized GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 hubcaps in near mint condition for it too.

This one is a 1967 133 inch wheelbase cab and chassis dually with a home built oak flatbed and saddle tanks. It was a 327 truck but a PO swapped in a 396 from a 69 Chevelle. It still has the 67 4 speed (reverse down and to the left), and 4:56 gears. Plenty of grunt and all the go you need in a daily driven workhorse. A PO pulled the in cab tank at some point and put in a late model seat. Both those "mistakes" will be rectified. Other than that and the fact it now sports a 69 nose, it's pretty much stock.

That's a sweet looking crew cab. It's even sweeter that it's a 4x4. What if your trucks only options were the deluxe heater package???

How about my '69 Car Hauler with the ULTRA RARE rear Van bumper mounted on the front!!?? One of One built!! You will be glad to know that I finally took it off, and I am replacing it with a custom push bumper. It is a factory 396 truck though.

67 C-30,

I would like to do that with a 1 ton also. What is the wheel base on that thing? Did you stretch it or someone previous?

Sorry, for the delay in response, I haven't looked at this thread lately. The wheelbase is 187". It was a 157" truck that was stretched 30". I did not do the stretch. It was that like when I bought it. It still turns fairly well for a truck this long. On dirt or grass the front tires almost act like they want to push a little if you have the wheels cut all the way. I guess that's to be expected from a 25 ft long truck! I just would not build it as heavy as this one is if I were you. The bed is constructed of 1/4" X 3" Channel pretty much throughout, and is decked and sided with 1/8" plate. The side metal is framed and held on with 1/4" by 1 1/4" angle. This puppy is a tank. It has 2" spacer blocks under the rear springs, just to make the truck sit level. It weighs 7980# unloaded w/o me in it.

LUV2XCLR8, Thanks! I love it whole lot more myself since I installed those window regulators I got from you!!

Well, they definitely missed out, because are they are some very smooth working regulators. I will have no problem buying from you again if you have anything else I might need!!

Ditto...lol.

Also got a little bored one day with some rattle cans... took out the inner door panels to repaint them, put orange bowties in the bottom inside corners and painted them black again, also took the glove box door out, put an orange bowtie and the lettering from the 8-350 emblem on it and repainted it black also. Wanna do it really nice some day but with decals and auto paint so it looks really nice.
