whos got the most rubber under your truck?

i got a swb stepside truck and was wondering what tire in any wheel size some people are putting in the back. i have it lowered 4 inches in the back and its not tubbed. im looking for the tallest and or widest tire. post up sizes and pics if you got them. i always like looking at tubbed trucks also, so feel free to post those up too! who can fit the most rubber in there?

my truck isnt lowered its lifted and i have 35x12.5x16

I have 8 " wheels all around with 275/60/15 on the back . They are very close to the fender lip but I've run them that way for years ! I probably will replace the back tires next time with 255/70/15 so i can get a little more clearance and also it'll help with the gearing ( 3.73 ) on the road as they' measure close to 30 " in diameter . This , effectively , will make the rear end ratio a little higher and bring the engine rpm's down a little . I am looking for S10 5 speed to replace my 3 speed and that will make a huge difference in highway rpm's ! Hope this helps ? I forgot to mention , my truck is at stock height for now, but , I'd like to lower it a couple of inches in the future and the slightly more narrow tire will help with the clearance problem .

i am running 285-70-15 on an 10 in rim with a 5" back space, had to trim the fender lip to clear but the trucks sits on the bump stops for now and have 1/4 in clearance. this is on a fleet side,not sure on the steps

technically speaking, if you do the math, 275/60/15's are 28 inches in diameter and the 255/70/15's are 29 and about an 1/8th, granted, diameters vary by manufacture, so some may actually be 30 inches, also your tires grow taller at highway speed, so I guess I have no point, I'll just sit here and argue with myself

I run 295/50R15's BFG's on the rear of my 66 panel truck. They are mounted on 15 x 10 steel wheels with 5 5/8" of back spacing. I had rolled the fender lips in to fit my previous wheel/tire combo, I now have approx 3/4" of clearance on both inner and outer sides of the tire.

I could fit a 305/50R15 on the rear, only problem is no one makes that size of a tire anymore.

YOU WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is the slow leaker. As you can see that was fresh out of the storage headed to the Shop for some work.... tire is getting broken down and remounted on new front wheel Tommrrow..Yes the rear is the leaker, front is good though...

31x18.50x15 rear and 245/55x16 front

Only the section under the cab is stock except for the fact that is has been boxed and braced. The front clip is a 69 camaro and the rear has been back halved and 4 linked.

Stock suspension, I'm running 255/55's in the front and 285/50's in the rear. Wheels are 18 x 9 Foose Nitrous.

I'll ASSume this question was for me....with a 2" spacer yes, with a 1.5" spacer no.
