Found a GOLDMINE of cheap parts!

well i've always read and heard stories of people who find those places tucked way back in the woods or off of a beaten path with hundreds of classic cars and trucks that no one ever seems to know about. well i got lucky and turns out just down the road from my child hood home there was such a place. well unfortunatly the man has passed away late this summer and the kids are cleaning up the property to sell the land. I stopped out there today hoping i wasn't too late to still get some parts. The one son-in-law told me they had already crushed 200+ cars and trucks but there were still a bunch there.
At any rate if anyone is looking for parts i'll be out there again next weekend to get some for myself and i can look and get some pictures and prices.
(I picked up a bench seat, original steering wheel, mirrors, heater controls, and boxes and boxes of bolts/nuts/washers/ all for $30!!!!)
here's some pictures to wet everyone's whistles sorry for the pictures but all i had on me was my cell phone, and these pictures certainly don't cover everything that's out there

Re: Found a GOLDMINE of cheap parts!

As a kid I never paid any attention to the stuff there until I got older. When he retired he bought and sold vehicles and parts to make some extra money. Its always neat to see all the history at places like these

Re: Found a GOLDMINE of cheap parts!

Man, I'd love to get my hand on a couple of good 69-70 chevy grills for cheap. And maybe a rust and straight tailgate. Why does everyone else find the good stuff?

Wow, what a score....If I was close I'd take all the trim and of course look all the trucks over for buckets, tach dashes, speedminders, tow hooks, good vent window glass, big block parts, 292's with PS parts, A/C parts, etc etc

Re: Found a GOLDMINE of cheap parts!

Well guys like I said there's a ton of good parts out there and ill be out there saturday if anyone wants to meet me to go take a look. The trick will be to see if I can get the parts without having to buy the whole truck. Indyuke I hear ya about finding the hidden treasures. This is one of the first I've came across personally, that's why I'm trying to share the wealth. Its a shame that there's so many solid trucks out there and they're going to meet the crusher if no one saves them
