BB Oil pressure
I have a fresh 402 (less than a 1,000mi) pushing over 400HP. All parts are new or professionally rebuilt. Runs awesome but my oil pressure is a small concern. When cold the guage jumps up to 60lb and holds at any RPM. When warm (180 degrees) it is pushing 40lbs at 2500RPM and drops to between 15-20lbs when idleing. My friend has a fresh 396 in a Chevelle that produces similar pressure numbers. I am interested in how other BB motors in our trucks do in this area. Thanks for any help.

If you used stock pump figures are fine.

 A GOOD RULE OF THUMB IS ---- YOU NEED 10 LBS OF OIL PRESSURE FPR EVERY 10,000 RPMS.  JOHN

I think junkyardjon ment 10PSI for every 1,000 RPMS. I wouldnt let it bother me at all.
