Let's see some gunmetal
Hey guys. I was wondering if anybody's got any pictures of some gunmetal colors. I was toying with the idea on my truck to paint (that'll be a long time, but I'd like to check some options nonetheless) it gunmetal gray, possibly with black racing stripes.
Also, if anybody else has any color schemes, maybe you can throw them out, too. I'd like to do something that's not too particularly stock or common, but not something that's entirely radical and will cost me three arms and five legs to paint. Thanks guys.

Re: Let's see some gunmetal
these are great! keep em comin!
and redhead69, you got any more pics of that? that looks really sweet so far. what I had in mind was a gunmetal gray (darker than silver, for sure) somewhere on the boards there's a picture of a 69 or 70 I think, gray with black grille and marker lights, I think it was under the thread on driving your trucks to school. I really like that truck. Anyways, keep em comin! thanks!

Glad I clicked on this thread -- got to see some great trucks in what is pretty much my favorite color for any vehicle!

Re: Let's see some gunmetal
that's pretty nice, mxchump. Not too shabby, I kinda like that. I want to do something like that, and either do a black grille/bumpers thing, or chrome bumpers and leave the grille alone. I think that would look pretty sweet.

Re: Let's see some gunmetal
there we go, that's the truck I was talking about. Really sweet, if you ask me. I really like that truck, and may end up modelling some of mine after that. What's the paint on that truck, anyways? How'd you paint the marker lights, grille? Anything special?

Re: Let's see some gunmetal
You know, I remember the Vette's around 1971 had a dark gun metal color available. Not my fav but it was a real nice shade and looked great with chrome trim.
