250 or 292 ?

How is the best way to figure if my engine is a 250 or 292 ? is there any numbers on the block to use thanks

The engine mounts will be staggered on a 292, not straight across from each other like on the 250. IIRC

Another easy way to tell is the side covers the 250 will be about 4" tall and the 292 will be about 6" tall

Fuel pump in front of motor mount = 250

Fuel pump in back of motor mount = 292
