2wd 1972 402 lift?
I got a dilemma...
The truck is a 1972 Longhorn 2wd with a 402cid and 3 spd, it's all original. I want to lift it to put larger tires, but not convert to 4wd. I don't care if it's 'year' correct, Ideally, I'd like to see 31's to 33's under this truck. I know it's a reach but that's the tire goal, and lift will be needed to clear the front fenders on our 'curb/driveways'. What do I need? and thanks for any tips/advice. |

so the recipe is 72 3/4 lower control arms 88 4 inch drop spindles with brakes setup bolt and go... this seems too easy. |

Re: 2wd 1972 402 lift?
I've got 285-75r/16s on my 3/4 ton and they fill out the wheel wells really nice. About 31-32'' tall. Anymore than that will rub without a lift on the front

Re: 2wd 1972 402 lift?
you guys are killing me... lol
yes, a 285/75r16 is just shy of 33... its like a 32.8x11.2r16 I'm more looking for a 33x12.5r16 to a 35x12.5r16 'ish' tires, I love the wide tire look. I'm sure with a stock 4wd they would fit all day long. but I'm working 2wd. the lift is for my satisfaction, not just tires. is there anyone that has lifted a 2wd c10 longhorn? |
