got the 68 shortbed on the road !
at least he can ride it now , he has lowering springs ordered so I can lower it but he wanted to ride it so we put it on the road and drove it to the park they had a little car show today lot of car people around , several people asked where in the world we found a solid short bed it was fun ! had a few bugs to work out and probly will have a few more the heater core is leaking had to bypass it and a few things like that but its running good now and my son is happy with it ,,,,,,,,,,,
we drove a couple hours on some back roads that was fun ,, all in all i'd say this 68 is a keeper it's really a great truck for my son to have been lucky enough to get I'm glad I could do this for him ,,,,,

Re: got the 68 shortbed on the road !
It don't get much better.
You've had a chance to have a son and evidently influence him some. You resurected a truck of an era you love with him.And now you're getting to cruise together and enjoy both trucks.Yeah I guess you are glad you can do this for/with him. These memories, priceless.

I hope he realizes how awesome his dad is. It took me a while to figure that one out myself.

Re: got the 68 shortbed on the road !
Nice work, Brad! I'm sure he is happier than a pig wallowing in mud. And you didn't have to modify yours. Whew!! Looking forward to seeing it in September.
