Newbe, 67 C30 Trim Tag? Color??
Hi all, just joined because I am fixing up a 67 C30 that has been converted to a car hauler... Its pretty cool. I want to do it in the original color but am lost on this truck as to where the code would be. I am also at a loss as to what engine is in there...has it been swapped?. The truck is primer black with grey primer under then it was blue with yellow primer and the base is orange. The orange however is like a flame orange and not at all a pumpkin orange. Am so confused.... HELP! The orange appears to be the original color.

Sounds like a cool truck. Can you post pictures? If so, post some of the truck, the engine, and the SPID on the inside of the glovebox door.

If you have a build sheet or the protect O plate the paint code will be on it. (In 67 and 68 the paint code was on the p-o-p. That stopped in 69) The best place to look for a build sheet is under or behind the seat, between the springs and foam. The p-o-p is on the last page of the owner protection plan. Next you have to just see what's there. If you think the original color is orange then it's 516 orange. It looks like 514 red in the pic. See the attached chart.
On your engine, Get the numbers on the pic below and we can decode your motor for you

The pictures help Thanks! Guess I need to get the casting date and block numbers. There is no POP and I think the seat may have been changed because the back legs are sitting on pieces of 2x4's.
