Only watched a hour or so last night. The prices seem to have been down from what little I was paying attention. Global economy might be affecting the auction goers as well. JT

Re: barrett jackson

I just stayed there 2 weeks ago---had I known I would have scheduled for now with the auction,a real treat for myself.I see many prices at 1/2 to 1/3 of what they should bring --example 1970 Challenger R/T 440 six pack convertable full resto for just over $50.000? a real 1967 Coronet HEMI car very nice for the same price WOW a sign of the %$#@ economy.

Re: barrett jackson

I was watching and saw a 67 or 68 red chevy pickup lined up behind the current car that was being auctioned off. I got all excited to see it and they cut to a commercial! Losers! Instead they show the same stuff over and over, camaros, mustangs, and vettes.

I wonder how that class-action lawsuit against Mr. Jackson concerning shill-bidding and misrepresentation ever turned out.

Re: barrett jackson

Here are the links to the 67-72 trucks that sold in Vegas this weekend.
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...otNumber=163.1
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli..._LotNumber=704
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli..._LotNumber=128
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...otNumber=129.2
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli..._LotNumber=770
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...otNumber=422.1
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli..._LotNumber=140

Based on the prices I see, it looks like our trucks are holding their own. Lot 770 went for $50,000! And what a nice truck it is.

Re: barrett jackson

Lot 422.1 has $75,000 in restoration cost and sold for $32,000. Why would one take that kind of loss?

Re: barrett jackson

lot 770 was the one on ebay a while back for 75,000. there were some pictures of that truck on this site. A few people here have seen it up close. I think that guy took a big loss also.

The way these clowns are, it seems like they would prefer to take a loss just to say they sold their truck at Barrett jackson.

But then again, it probably didn't sell at that price so he had to do something with it.

I have a feeling that truck probably would have broken 40-45ish had it been on a half ton chassis. No offense to any one who likes the 3/4 tons, i certainly do, But they don't seem to be as solid of sellers. Did anyone catch the first car Carroll Shelby raced?

Re: barrett jackson

Welcome the Red 70 back to the board again! That truck has been for sale many times at many places and has had MANY posts about it... $50,000 is the lowest I have seen it sell for and actually is a steal at that price!

This looks like a really nice truck, but for $33,000 wouldn't you expect the tailgate to have the correct 2-tone paint on it? I see a couple of other things that also make this truck less than correct.

These knuckleheads keep selling that red truck for a loss and pretty soon one of us might be able to afford it ...
