Intake ports, Oval or not?
I am looking to buy a new intake for my 72 402 BB and I think it needs to be oval port. I have even seen chevy oval port specified. I know my heads are oval port on the exhaust. would they be the same on the intake?
I am trying to buy before I pull off the old intake. Thanks.

Re: Intake ports, Oval or not?
Unless someone has changed the heads and intake oval ports would be the ones you have.
You can always verify whether or not the heads are oval port or not by looking up the manifold casting numbers on your engine. Or the head casting numbers, (under the valve covers) can be used to verify whether they are oval port or not. Jim
