brushed grille
i couldnt find anything in the search, but does anyone have a good method of scuffing up a 71 style grille shell to make it looked brushed? mine is so pitted and beat up a polishing wouldnt go too far and i cant get a new one just yet

it's the annodizing that is beat up. Remove it, and you'll have virgin metal underneath it.
Try removing it from the truck and soaking it in oven cleaner. You'll only wanna go a few min at a time, but it'll get all the clear off. Then you can scuff it with some #ooo steel wool, or polish it. Either way, it will become a part in frequent need of polishing/cleaning. |

If after you have stripped it and you still want the brushed look, try a red Scotch Brite pad on it.

you can always grab a rattle can of clear from wally world and thro a coat or 2 on it to hold it and not have to polish it so much
