Fuel sending unit?

I need a new sending uint in my K10, or maybe its just the o-ring but it seeps a bit of gas out when I fill the tank, and stinks like fuel inside my truck. I tried getting one from a local parts store but noone seems to have a listing for them anymore. LMC has them but I wanted to check and see what else is out there. What other options are out there? My 71 has the vent thing going up the pass b pillar and the LMC one doesnt seem to have the extra fitting for it. Is there anywhere the o- ring is available seperate?

Re: Fuel sending unit?

I just got a tank from CPP. They have a few spare parts listed on their ebay page. Perhaps contacting them may reveal a greater inventory than the current listings.

Re: Fuel sending unit?

I used a small beed of gasket form on the both sides of the o-ring, it helped hold the ring in place and made for an air tight seel, I like the right stuff , it comes in a cheese whiz can

Re: Fuel sending unit?

I took it apart today, the o ring was cracked and fell apart. I was able to order the lock ring and gasket from napa. hopefully it will seal up with a new o ring in it.
