throttle cable question

New guy to the forum here. I got a '71 K20 that needs a new throttle cable. I found one on LMC but I'm not sure which one I need. My truck is a 4wd that had the old 350 swapped out for a 402. LMC shows one for a 4wd, a 2wd, and one for the 402. It looks like the one for the 2wd and the 402 are the same part number. I realize the 402 never came with a 4wd so I'm just wondering which cable to go with since my set up is not an option on LMC. Definitely want to go with one from LMC though.

Re: throttle cable question

Is the 402 a big block or small block? A 402 SBC would be the same one as the 350 SBC. BBC may be different than an SBC. IDK.
Try Jeg's.

So the old cable is too short? Junkyards are iffy. I'd go aftermarket if the dealer says NLA. Try Jegs or Summit. Lokars are good.

Re: throttle cable question

Sometimes you have to modify things a bit to get them to work. Ask me how I know this? Especially with aftermarket stuff that is not supposed to need it.

I have an coolant temp sensor electrical connector for a Toyota on my truck. Its the exact same part except it was not routed out for a Chevy Sensor on the block. And the answer is DREMEL!

I have the Pico Part number if anyone is interested.
