Re: Sometimes ya just get lucky!

I can imagine someone who has no clue what these are would say,
" why in the h#ll would anybody want a big stupid bent hook like these..they're useless and dumb".

But too those who know,
well of course we are panting and drooling...
OR we are ready too make blazer man a profitable offer.

Good....no,great score!

Wow, if someone had to steal these, glad it was someone from here. Heck of a deal!! I'm still waiting on my great deal. Best I got so far was some clean 72 door panels for $20. All the guy knew was they were from some old truck

Re: Sometimes ya just get lucky!

Very nice, that would be the limit for me to pay for them for my own use (thats all I feel they're really worth). but if I were to buy then sell for a big profit then I might pay a little more, lol...

Re: Sometimes ya just get lucky!

Not trying to get any of your secrets, but I'm curious where you got them. I think Ive only bought a few things off eBay over the years, just hate the bidding process lol. Amazon sometimes when I'm looking for something that isn't used.

No secrets here CG, I owe my cousin for this score, he was looking for a pair of hooks for the Warn winch bumper on his 67 Ford F-350 4x4. I had a hard time finding them even after he text me what to look for. Just a matter of the right time at the right place. This guy had no idea what he had!

So from looking at the picture it doesn't tell me anything ... is it an eBay picture?

Yes that was one of 3 pictures listed on EBay. This was not an auction or 7 day "But it Now" listing but a fixed price listing. I'm not even sure how long they had been on EBay, after I committed and paid for them I tried to go back and see but don't find a listing date.
The guy I hit them from sells lots of tools and new items so I'm not sure where he came up with them. Bought early last Monday AM and had them by noon Wednesday, pretty fast shipping from Atlanta!

Re: Sometimes ya just get lucky!

Great score.
I was out at the yard yeaterday, and found a pair of newer tow hooks, that just screamed "take me home!", so I did. The price was right and they'll work for a future project hat I have in mind

Re: Sometimes ya just get lucky!

No Repros ... Hence the 4 or 5 hundred usual price for the originals. 72 only hooks.
