blinker/tailllight wiring issues

I’m wiring up my truck right now, and I’m almost done. Before I tore it all apart, I had it wired by a body shop with a Painless kit and everything worked. Now I’m having trouble with headlights/taillights. As far as blinkers, the left side is dimmer than the right on the front and back, and the rear right taillight blinks the brighter filament(correct) and the left side blinks the dimmer filament(wrong?). My reverse lights work, headlights works, but no park lamps in the front, but rear taillights work. Also, is it normal for my turn signals to be slower when the headlights are on? And when my hazards are on, all the lights blink very dimly.
That’s a lotta questions.
But the good news is I can turn the engine over, cant wait to hear it run.

Re: blinker/tailllight wiring issues

i know this is the first thing out of everybodys mouth but it sounds like ground problems to me...

now with the painless kit...all the truck experts wiring know how..goes out the window..unless someone's got a painless kit in there truck.

hope you can get it figured out..

these trucks need alot of ground straps ..frame to engine, frame to cab,

also look for a pinched wire..

Re: blinker/tailllight wiring issues

yeah, check for pinched wires (I did it replacing the rear springs) DOH!

Also check your headlight switch and turnsignal switch. I had all sorts of gremlins, even with the painless...replaced those two switches...all good now
