They built a lot of Camaros. Do you have leaf springs on your truck?

Camaro's came with leaf springs on the rear, didn't they? I recall that the GM mono-leaf rear was a Camaro "feature" when they were introduced in the fall of '66 (yeah, I'm probably older than you are).
Do you mean that you used a sway bar from the front of an F-body? That's the end with coils. I think that F-41 was the code for the suspension package. My '69 had a factory sway bar from the git-go. I don't think all of them did...it's listed on the glove box i.d. tag. As for rarity, I don't recall doing any front end work on any Camaro or Firebird that didn't have a sway bar. Sway bar bushings were commonly bad and needed to be replaced. So, I don't think you have a rare part, necessarily.

I think he is talking about rear sway bars on camaros. They are not really rare, it's just finding the larger thickness ones is kinda hard. I can't remember, but I thought you could only do the rear sway bar on coil rear ends. I thought the leaf spring trucks didn't need them. I also thought there was some debate over whether or not the trailing arms would effectively move independently with the sway bar mounted, and that it would affect the ride.
Anybody else that has done this please speak up. Shawn
