Backup lights used as third/extra brake light
I was thinking of rewiring my backup lights as a "third" brake light with red LED bulbs. I did some research on the forum and did not find where anyone had done this. I just feel that the morre lights you have the better!

Re: Backup lights used as third/extra brake light
Depending on the state, backup lights may be required. I'd check with the state dps.
Otherwise, I don't see how it would hurt. Some of these new vehicles have so much red light in back it's blinding sometimes. Only problem I see is that you won't have a light while backing up, but from my experience it's only to notify someone behind you that you are backing up. |
