I don't think I've ever seen black as a secondary color. That's awsome.

Me either. Only top color I ever saw was white.

Sure wish they would have shown the glovebox sticker.

Still out of my price range even if it is ll true.

Nice truck. Kinda Halloween-ish paint job though.

Re: 18k mile c10

radio delete to boot... other than being a rare paint order, there's not a lot of options on this rig. thought most customs had a/c. the only upgrade looks like power brakes.

but I would love to have a rig so clean. what a nice example of an unrestored truck.....

If you look for the reds, and the greys. and look at some of the positive green ones, they are not really great. Many people saying he misrepresented the product. I changed the feedback to 200 per page and went 6 pages deep and was suprised at the number of bad feedback given. Just my opinion though. Just trying to make sure a forum member doesn't get messed over.

The first line in his description makes me suspicious... "1972 -- The best year for that body style" We all know that isn't true

Re: 18k mile c10

There is a 69-70 lwb truck that is local with the exact color combo. I sold parts to original owner years ago. I know the guy that has it at this time.
I also had a 71lwb bb cheyenne that was two tone blue.

Re: 18k mile c10

Most Customs had a/c? I think it was something like 10% of the trucks got A/C... and like 3% in 67. (I can't remember off the top of my head, but it was low)
As far as the secondary color, I've seen ORIGINAL/LISTED on the spid light green secondary on dark green body, it was done like that with just the cab roof done, and I've seen a red with pale yellow secondary, and that had the yellow/red/yellow/red paint.
This black secondary... we are assuming it's original, and very likely is acording to the description... but it is still unprooven.

Re: 18k mile c10

There are 2 trucks locally (Rapid City, SD) that have the exact color combo as that truck, But the local ones are 69/70's?
Being my birthday is the day before Halloween, someone should buy me this truck... you know for my Birthday, I grew up with every B-day cake I ever remember getting black and orange, my first bike was black and orange... This truck would totally wipe away all those bad black andorange birthday memories...

72 is the best for certain options, like all of them had disc brakes, can have tilt wheels, ect.

Re: 18k mile c10

This truck is right down the road from me..I hope to go check it out this week and see if it looks as good in person as it does in the pics.I looked at the add from the link posted here shortly after this thread was started but I didn't realize the truck was 25 minutes away
I've never seen this truck around though, driving, sitting in a driveway,or at a cruise in or show.

i'm always suspicious of ebay these days...

that brake pedal looks more worn than i would think 18k would do... maybe i'm wrong.

Re: 18k mile c10

Call me a cynic or a pessimist, but I smell a rat here:

NO chalk marks on firewall ... so why would an 18K mileage truck be painted UNDER the hood?

Bed floor and inner bed fenders seem a bit banged up for 18k worth of miles.

I'm not totally sure on this one, but the seat cover doesn't look like the original pattern.

He writes all kind of details about how everything is ORIGINAL and then mentions the rally rims.

No CHEVROLET-Custom emblem on glove box door.

Brake pedal seems a wee bit warn for only 18K (good eye cstanley)

I'm not purchasing, so my opinion really doesn't mean much, but I don't think the truck is all that it is being advertised as.

Re: 18k mile c10

This guy looks like he is just one big con. I read all of his feed back. And there a little to much negatives for me. Most of his replies of negatives were either that he was sick, his wife was sick and there was even one just saying family illness. On other ones items were broke, and cars werent as described. If i were lokking into getting that truck, which im not, i would take a good look at everything and get a vehicle history report. But even then i wouldnt trust this guy to ship it because some how on the feed back it sounds like things disapeer during shipping or mysteriously get lost. But you never it could just be people who didnt like what they bought so they tried to get their money back, but as for me i wouldnt put an ounce of trust into that guy until ive seen it.
