GA Short step bed with tailgate $200

Driver at best. Not too bad in the rust department. Most of the strips and sills are there. Needs a little body work and bed wood. $200

How bad are the fenders and the tail gate? I have good bed sides and front panel but the fenders look like somebody has taken a ball peen hammer to them..plus i have no tail gate.
I might be interested but would only want the fenders and tail gate. That would save me gas money using my aveo to pick up instead of my burb and trailer.

Fenders and tailgate are in good shape. Some of the better ones I have had here.

how are the lips on fenders where they bolt to inner bed box?

Tailgate is NICE, straight with very minimal surface rust. Bed fenders are straight with only sone surface rust and the mounting lips on the inside are intact and fairly rust free also. I saw NO through rust or heavy pitting at all.

Tailgate is nice. If i dont get a commitment and payment within the week, I am going to pull the tailgate and sell it separatly

So Im curious. I have parted out quite a few of these and have delt with a lot of folks and I know you part out a BUNCH of these and deal with people also..heck...I have bought from you....I have become jaded with selling and dealing with buyers so while I am liqudating my inventory I am at the same time trying to figure out (studying) why some folks do what they do and ask what they ask on these for sale ads. I dont know if its just boredom or just looking for the best deal on the best parts or what?

So my question to you is....

Are the lip areas showing more surface rust that you are looking for and you are not interested in them and just saying you "wish it was not so far" to be polite? The only reason I ask is I KNOW you knew how far away I was BEFORE you posted the question.

Are you just asking because you know that someone else will want that valuable information and you figure it needs to be in the thread?

Either way its fine...Im just using the information for my "buying and selling" study.

Thanks for the heads up, the PM. I am interested..........honestly money is a little tight. I would want the fenders and tailgate. So, I could buy the parts next pay day (Thursday) but probably not be able to swing the trip until the middle of Jan. It's a little far for me to do in one day.......you are about 7 hours away and i don't drive well at night. Plus I don't have any more time off until then

I just talked to my girlfriend, she used to live at Peach tree. There is a friends she wants to visit who lives on Bells Ferry road. I am thinking that while she visits I will break down the complete bed and put it into my burb. That way I don't have to use my trailer. save some gas money, the only thing I would ask is for you to WD-40 all the bolts a few times. I have bought a few parts out of Georgia and those bolts are a pain in the butt!.

I think its a GREAT price for 2 good fenders, a nice tailgate and good steps with a driver quality bed thrown in. PM SENT

there was a couple reasons i ask about it.
i thought of buying it & just setting it back to use later or resaleing it.
and i thought if someone else was interested in it they would like to see the same pic.s also.
i think the bed is well worth what you are asking .
i have found that the more pic,s you post the better the odds of saleing it.
