I wouldn't call it Patina but it would be a nice project for sure

Re: You Guys Wanna See Patina...?

The dash almost looks like it has a woodgrain finish. Not sure the square and round gauges look too good together.

Wow, $3100 for that?? Is there something that I missed? Say a stack of gold bars in the trunk?

Re: You Guys Wanna See Patina...?

that would not even be worth $3100 if it was a '54 Chevy (although a '49 or 50 merc in that condition might go for that much or more)

Re: You Guys Wanna See Patina...?

I just did some work on a very similar car today. a guy has a 46 Plymouth Special Delux P15. the weird part is its his winter car.
the dash is painted wood grain as are the inside window trim pieces.

Re: You Guys Wanna See Patina...?

I'ld say it's worth it. All the glass is there, all chrome and trim is intact and decent, messed up yet repairable hood side, little surface rust, but mostly solid base for a street rodder, beats $3100 in body work to a rusted hulk you get for free. Go price a genuine 32 ford and you'll see this thing is cheap!

Sorry, but this ain't no where close to being compared to a '32 Ford ...

But it is 20% of a '32. ($15500 for a legit '32 complete with drivetrain and trim). Although, I just paid way less than $3100 for my daily driver '67, so ya'll do have valid points.

And street rodders talk with checkbooks, not always common sense. I like to think most of us here are hot rodders, like to make it ourselves as cheap as we can and as best as we can. I'd rather go find one in a field myself, get some adventure that way!

Re: You Guys Wanna See Patina...?

Wow defiantly would be a sweet project but they are trying to get way too much for it in my opinion.

Re: You Guys Wanna See Patina...?

Not a '32 but a decent price for a project, anything solid is 2-3k.

Re: You Guys Wanna See Patina...?

Welcome to the world of street rods. That`s an obviously solid and straight body on a complete car.Paint stripper is expensive, too. You`ll save that expense.

Re: You Guys Wanna See Patina...?

$3100 doesn't sound too bad, for around my area anyway.

Re: You Guys Wanna See Patina...?

thats pretty good, cant see any rust holes just surface, that would come up real nice... over here in oz you would pay more than that for a body without motor, glass and with more rust holes...
