Re: Aftermarket A/C ?
GMC Paul sells a great after market Air Unit for our trucks. Vintage Air is also good. Have not heard anything bad about eather. GMC Paul is a great supporter of this board.

Re: Aftermarket A/C ?
Vintage Air is a well respected company in the street rod community. A friend who used to design systems for them said the one for our trucks worked well. If I am not mistaken, and I might be, he said it only recirculates (no fresh air option).
I have no personal experience with them. Slonaker |

Wow, I didn't notice that! I just looked at the Vintage Air website and there is no Max AC and regular AC! Thanks for pointing that out! |

Re: Aftermarket A/C ?
My 80, that I bought 2 years, has aftermarket air - similar to vintage, has a Sankyo 505 (??) compressor. Works good and is a simple system to maintain. Just wish it had the linkage to the factory controls.
BTW, worked when I first saw it - I had to buy it!! - Dave
