Transmission taking awhile to engage
i have a turbo 350 transmission, every gear takes awhile to engage. Having me to rev the engine so it will engage.. but after awhile or maybe a drive around the block i can park it and crank it back up and then works like "gold" literally. and fluid is perfect, im gonna change the gasket and filter ASAP, im sure it needs it. but if thats not the fix then what could it be?
hoping my transmission is not failing, i would rather pay a costly bill to get it repaired and not have to replace it. please share your experience with me on this issue!

Re: Transmission taking awhile to engage
check your fluid level and smell the fluid if it has the smell of burnt pop corn you should probly drain the torque conveter, and the trans and add a new filter.

Re: Transmission taking awhile to engage
Sounds like low pressure to me some fluid and a new filter should remedy it

Re: Transmission taking awhile to engage
seen that when the vac line gets loose on the regulator
aside from that i've used duralube for the tranny with good results

Re: Transmission taking awhile to engage
happened to me before, maybe just low on fluid or an internal leak on a seal that seals up when the trans gets warm
