just went out and measured my wifes rear end and it was 40.25 center to center ,,,the only thig i would check is the spring pads on that ,,, it looks like a ford with 3" springs instead of 2.5" springs ,,, u could still use it but u would have 2 do some fabing

I guess I didn't read about the springs....would that mean that it's a coil rear or a leaf rear. I have a leaf rear.

Re: Can someone tell me if this will fit.

Sorry, but I am very, very new to this sort of thing. Can someone tell me what might have to be done to make it fit, I don't want to buy it and find out it's beyond my skill set and have it sitting around for 10 years. Thanks.

Re: Can someone tell me if this will fit.

My 69 D-60 6 lug (1/2 ton) measures 42-1/4" from center of spring purch to center of spring perch. My wheel mount to wheel mount is 62-3/8".

The rear for sale appears to be a leaf spring setup, but the perches would still need to be moved. A cut and weld job. As far as the over all width, in 1970-1/2 and up the wheel mount to wheel mount was 63-7/8" so the rear for sale is only 1-7/8" wider per side. A proper back spaced rim could fix that.

Does that help?

Re: Can someone tell me if this will fit.

Why would you want to put in a weaker rear diff?

Re: Can someone tell me if this will fit.

Why go D-60 when you can get a 14 bolt full floater that is stronger and cheaper and should bolt right in?

Re: Can someone tell me if this will fit.

That's probably the way I will go....I just saw this d60 and thought it might fit.
