Throttle control?
OK now that I have the gas tank figured out, can anyone tell me about this "throttle" knob and what it is used for. Is it some sort of early cruise control? Was it used to bump up the idle for charging or for pto options. It seems dangerous for a cruise control. Once again thanks for the help...Alex Yes it is cable accuated.

Re: Throttle control?
it was used for pto and I believe some farmers would use it so truck could go slowly down a field to toss hay bales or such out of the back while truck idled along.......not a good cruise control as there is no shut off but I have used mine as such on occasion......

Re: Throttle control?
My truck has one, but it didn't have PTO....
Not exactly sure why it has it...
