bolt circle question
i got a set of rims for my buddies car, but i dont know what the bolt circle is.
they are a 5 lug rim. they are a chevy pattern. wehn i measure from the center of one the holes to the center of the other hole after i skipped a hole, its comes out to be 4.5 does this mean its 5x 4.5? |

Re: bolt circle question
yes. on 5lug wheels measure center of 1st hole to back of 3rd hole gives you the bolt circle. all 5lug 73-87 are 5x5, those wont work. most gm cars are 5x 4.5 or 5x4.75. hope this helps.

If the wheels came off of a Chevy car, they are 5x4.75" most likely. You can actually measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the next bolt hole and calculate the diameter of the bolt circle that way. Take that measurement, we'll call it "BC", and do this simple calculation...BC/.588, and you should get the Bolt Pattern. Ed |

Re: bolt circle question
I can't actually think of a gm rear drive car that ever used 5x4.5" bolt pattern. The nova would be 5x4.75". But those draglights should be dual bolt pattern (I.e. 10 hole)
