Alternator Q
I have a '70 250 6 and have been having electrical issues, mainly my lights would dim when idling at a light. I had the alt and battery checked and the alt was bad. I picked up a new 1 wire alt and then I looked at the existing one and saw this:
yes, the black wire is loose. How should this be wired for a 1 wire setup? Last edited by Gokart Mozart; 05-20-2011 at 10:11 PM. |

Re: Alternator Q
the black wire shouldn't matter in reality, it's grounded to the bracket, ehich is grounded to the block, which should have the neg cable on it.
One wire goes to the battery, that's it. It is an inferior unit to a GM style 3 wire internally regulated unit though |
