ProTec beds
Does anyone know the story with these beds?They are beds that have outer skins that are made from ProTec.The telltale is the tailgate.The Chevrolet letters are across the back and embossed into the gate as well as two horizontal lines,one over and one under the letters.Similar to the Avalanche.On the lower right-hand corner is a ProTec emblem.I have only seen this on my friend`s truck that he bought used.Il have to see what year it is.

I love those beds. GM produced them from 1999-2003 I believe. Here is some info:

I have only seen a few.What was the deal on these?Were they just an option?I thought my friend`s might have been a promo vehicle.
